The files are so small in size that it is a breeze to send them over the internet via our ftp and e-mail services – without any loss of quality or data. Other formats you can supply depending on the job type are: hi res jpeg – Saved at 300dpi and indesign, illustrator, photoshop or publisher files.

Hard copy proofs will only be supplied upon your request or at advancedlife’s discretion. Please outline on your initial order if you wish to view a proof before production.

Bleed

Do I need to include bleed with my artwork?

For borderless printing files must have a minimum of 3mm internal and external bleed. For magazines,

booklets and presentation folders, 5mm internal and external bleed is required.

How much internal bleed do you require?

We require 3mm of bleed on all documents except booklets which require 5mm internal bleed. This means all text/important graphics must be kept a minimum of 3mm or 5mm from the trim edge of your artwork.

How much external bleed do you require?

We require 3mm of external bleed on all files (magazines/booklets and presentation folders). Banners to be set up with 90mm bleed on bottom edge only.

External bleed is the area extending past the trim line, it allows for a small amount of movement that may occur when your order is being cut to size.
